Title 24 Proper Procedure for Charging Air Conditioner and Heat Pumps

This one-day class will provide hands-on training and exercises on the Title 24 methods for checking charge and measuring air flow for residential and small commercial air conditioners and heat pumps. The instructor will review the basics of the refrigeration cycle, and discuss in detail the three methods of charging systems; charging by superheat with fixed orifice metering devices, charging by subcooling with thermostatic expansion valve metering devices, and weighing in the charge. Portable AC and heat pump training props are used to enhance the learning process by practicing techniques discussed during the class.
